Chrisley family going through ‘big adjustment’ after Todd, Julie released from prison

Savannah Chrisley has a sense of relief since she welcomed her parents home from prison.

In her first interview since her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, were released from federal prison, the 27-year-old reality star opened up about the emotional roller coaster of reuniting with her family since they’ve been separated for more than two years.

"Oh my gosh, it has been amazing. It's still just kind of ... it doesn't feel real," Savannah shared with People earlier this week. "We were going to bed last night. We're like, 'Is this real?' And then, I wake up this morning and my mom's walking into my bedroom, and I'm like, it's absolutely insane!"

TODD CHRISLEY OPENS UP ABOUT LIFE BEHIND BARS AND HIS FIRST MOMENTS OUT OF PRISON

Savannah continued to offer a glimpse into what life looks like for the famous family as they adjust to a new normal.

"We are just so grateful and ready to kind of start getting back to normal life, obviously, the best we can," she said. "Everything's a whirlwind right now, and it's kind of hard to live a normal life with how things are right now, but we'll get there."

While Savannah said her parents are "doing great" since being pardoned by President Donald Trump, she admitted it’s been a "big adjustment" for her family.

"It's obviously an adjustment. ... I think they're kind of just in shock right now," she explained. "It's just a big adjustment when you're in prison for 2½ years, and then you go back to so-called normal life. I can't imagine.

"I just think it's a lot for them, but they're enjoying it. We're all spending time together," she added. "And, obviously, when they're ready to talk about their feelings and emotions, I know that they will articulate it well, like they always do."

On Friday, "Chrisley Knows Best" patriarch Todd spoke out during a news conference in his home city of Nashville and gave a glimpse of what his time behind prison bars looked like.

"I call it the BOP glow," Chrisley joked about his appearance to Fox News Digital, referring to the Bureau of Prisons. "I’ll actually have more access to better products now that I’m out.

"I had nothing to do other than to read and to work out. I worked out every morning at 10:45 until 12 with my buddies there. … I read and my walk with Christ became deeper."

He also spoke about reuniting with his family, explaining to Fox News Digital, "I don't even know that I felt like it was real at that moment. And I woke up the first morning, and I was looking around, and I'm like, 'This is really real. I'm home.' So, I was grateful for our family to be all back in the same room, to be together, to share a meal together, to pray together and to know that we're still in the fight together."

JULIE CHRISLEY IS 'DOING WELL,' FOCUSING ON FAMILY AFTER RETURNING HOME FROM PRISON

This marked the first time Chrisley has spoken to the media since he and his wife were convicted of tax evasion and bank fraud in 2022.

Julie was absent from the Chrisley family news conference Friday.

The Chrisleys' lawyer, Alex Little, shared an update with Fox News Digital on how she’s doing after being released from prison on Wednesday.

Todd additionally shared at the news conference that his wife wanted to focus on spending time with her family after returning home from prison.

"Julie, who is a wonderful, decent, God-fearing woman – and that I am blessed to have been married to and been with for over 30 years now – an excellent mother," he said. "She’s at home with [daughter] Chloe right now, and Chloe will not let her go."

Chloe is the biological daughter of Todd’s estranged son, Kyle. Chloe was adopted by the Chrisleys, and they were granted full custody of their granddaughter after Kyle’s addiction came into the spotlight.

Meanwhile, faith, family and fitness were the pillars that carried Todd through incarceration, he said. He credited speaking with his children — Savannah, Chase and Grayson — as a saving grace. He also kept in touch with his wife through daily emails.

Todd and Julie were initially indicted in August 2019, and a new indictment was later filed. They were found guilty in June 2022 of bank fraud, tax evasion andconspiring to defraud the IRS.

Todd was sentenced to 12 years in prison, and Julie was sentenced to seven years.

Democratic rep calls on party to tolerate dissenting ideas on controversial issues

Rep. Seth Moulton, D-Mass., urged the Democratic Party to be more tolerant of dissenting opinions on controversial issues — such as transgender athletes competing in women's sports — during a conversation with Bill Maher on "Real Time" on Friday.

Moulton argued that one of the Democratic Party’s biggest problems is its intolerance of internal dissent, which has led to Republicans winning over the public on hot-button issues.

The Massachusetts representative faced calls for his resignation last November after he challenged the left's stance on transgender athletes in girls' and women's sports during an interview with The New York Times.

MAHER CALLS OUT LIBERALS BACKING HAMAS DESPITE TERROR GROUP'S EXTREMIST VIEWS

"Democrats spend way too much time trying not to offend anyone rather than being brutally honest about the challenges many Americans face," he said at the time. "I have two little girls. I don’t want them getting run over on a playing field by a male or formerly male athlete, but as a Democrat I’m supposed to be afraid to say that."

Maher brought this up during his conversation with Moulton and praised him for speaking out, claiming that Democrats need to stop taking the unpopular side of "80/20" issues.

The late-night host also mentioned that Moulton's campaign manager quit over his statement on transgender athletes and that people like his former campaign manager "are the problem."

"The point is, we can't have disagreements in the party," Moulton claimed. "That was actually the latter half of my juicy quote to the New York Times. I just said, ‘I don’t want my daughter getting run over,' but as a Democrat, I'm not allowed to say that."

He continued, saying, "That's the problem: we can't even discuss these issues. We can't even have a reasonable policy on trans people in sports because we're not allowed to talk about it, and Republicans just run away with the issue, and they're very extreme."

Maher told Moulton that while he appreciates him taking that stance, "it's got to go further than that."

"You have to be able to talk about it, and also, that guy's wrong and you're right! How about that? You're right about this," he asserted.

Later on in the conversation, the Democratic representative called out his party for slamming Republicans as "weird," while simultaneously requiring members to have their pronouns listed in their email signatures.

"Look, if you want to be trans, go for it. It's a free country, and you can put your pronouns out there, but don't put that on me," Moulton explained.

He reiterated that Democrats need to stop taking the "20" side of "80/20" issues and expect to win over the majority of the country.

"We got to actually be real with the American people — just be honest — and it's okay if you disagree, I'm fine with that," Moulton stated. "But I get to speak as a dad, that's legitimate."

Florida man shot after pointing BB gun that resembled 'realistic-looking' rifle at officers: police

A Florida man was shot after pointing a "BB gun that resembled a realistic-looking rifle" at officers in the Orlando area, police said.

Matthew Wagner, 20, was hit with gunfire midday Thursday in Kissimmee when police responded to a "911 call for a man armed with a rifle" near a shopping center, according to Chief Charles Broadway.

"Upon arriving on scene, our officers encountered an individual holding a rifle. Our officers gave several verbal commands and warnings to put the rifle down," Broadway said.

"The subject then pointed this rifle at the officers and at that time, the officers were forced to shoot the subject to defend themselves and others in the area. The officers immediately started to render aid until EMS arrived to transport the subject to a local hospital," he added.

FLORIDA DEPUTY KILLED IN SHOOTOUT OUTSIDE DOLLAR GENERAL STORE

Broadway said Wagner is in stable condition following the shooting.

The three police officers involved have now been placed on administrative leave while the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the State Attorney's Office are reviewing the incident.

"Right now, we do not have a motive and do not know why the individual pointed the rifle at our officers, but I’m thankful that none of our officers were injured and I want to acknowledge the quick actions of our officers who responded under such a high-pressure circumstance," Broadway continued.

TORONTO MAN PLEADS GUILTY AFTER WILD AIRPORT ASSAULT ON TSA AGENTS IN MIAMI WAS CAUGHT ON VIDEO

"An early review of the evidence found the rifle to be a BB gun that resembled a realistic-looking rifle," he also said.

It’s unclear if Wagner will face charges.

"I [saw] a young man with a gun in his hand… and he looked like he was looking up at the trees," witness Dexter Brown told Fox35 Orlando. "He was walking very slow... like he was hunting for birds or squirrels or whatever. I don't know what it was."

The station reported that the BB rifle is a Daisy Christmas Wish Red Ryder.

Fever coach Stephanie White reveals she was fined over apparent criticism of WNBA officiating

Indiana Fever head coach Stephanie White didn’t mince words when sharing her thoughts on officiating in the WNBA, which followed Saturday’s game where Caitlin Clark suffered a quad injury that will sideline the star guard for at least two weeks.

Apparently those strong remarks landed White in some trouble with the league.

After the Fever suffered a disappointing loss against the Washington Mystics in the team’s first game without Clark, White was asked during the postgame presser whether she believed the league needed to step in to protect top players from "intentionally rough play."

"Obviously, I think we can get better in certain areas as far as how we call the game, consistency with how we call the game. . . . Are we going to say that we want a free-flowing offensive game, or are we going to have tough, grind-out physical games? And whatever way it is, the players will adjust and coaches will adjust but we can’t have it be one way one quarter and another way another quarter."

She continued, "I don’t think collectively as a whole the league has to step in and do something, I just think that there has to be some improvements in certain areas."

But when pushed further on what those areas might be, White revealed that her previous remarks – likely those on Saturday night – resulted in her receiving a fine.

INDIANA FEVER SUFFER WORST LOSS OF THE SEASON IN CAITLIN CLARK'S FIRST MISSED GAME OF CAREER

"Are we trying to get me fined again? Because I did just get fined," she said with a smirk.

White did not elaborate further, but the fine likely stemmed from her comments following Saturday’s loss to the New York Liberty.

"I think it’s pretty egregious what’s been happening to us the last four games, you know, a minus-31 free throw discrepancy," White said, adding she believed Clark was fined in the play of the game. "And I might be able to understand it if we were just chucking 3s. But we’re not. We’re attacking the rim and the disrespect right now for our team has been pretty unbelievable."

White said Monday that she was not sure when Clark sustained the injury exactly.

"Sometimes great players don't tell you when they're hurting," she said. "I'm glad that she did because we need to nip this in the bud."

A new law in this state bans automated insurance claim denials

As some health insurance companies have come under fire for allegedly using computer systems to shoot down claims, an Arizona law will soon make the practice illegal in the Grand Canyon State.

Republican Arizona House Majority Whip Rep. Julie Willoughby sponsored the legislation, and it was recently signed into law by Democratic Gov. Katie Hobbs.

House Bill 2175 requires a physician licensed in the state to conduct an "individual review" and use "independent medical judgment" to determine whether the claim should actually be denied.

PROPOSED BALLOT MEASURE IN BLUE STATE RAISES EYEBROWS OVER WHO IT'S NAMED AFTER: 'ROAD SIDE LUNATICS'

It also required a similar review of "a direct denial of a prior authorization of a service" that a provider asked for and "involves medical necessity."

"This law ensures that a doctor, not a computer, is making medical decisions," Willoughby said in a statement. "If care is denied, it should be by someone with the training and ethical duty to put patients first. That decision must come from a licensed physician, not an anonymous program."

The law will go into effect in July 2026, so insurers will have time to be ready for the changes, if any.

NEW BIPARTISAN PROPOSAL TARGETS 'ONE OF THE MOST EGREGIOUS' KINDS OF FRAUD RAVAGING HEALTHCARE INDUSTRY

"Arizona families deserve real oversight when it comes to life-changing medical decisions," Willoughby said. "This law puts patients ahead of profits and restores a layer of accountability that’s long overdue."

The bill passed both chambers with nearly unanimous support.

Several healthcare companies, like Cigna and United Healthcare, have faced accusations of using computer systems to deny claims in past years, according to ProPublica and FOX Business.

The lawmaker in the Golden State was specifically concerned about the rise of artificial intelligence.

"Artificial intelligence has immense potential to enhance health care delivery, but it should never replace the expertise and judgment of physicians," Democratic state Sen. Josh Becker said in a December statement. "An algorithm cannot fully understand a patient’s unique medical history or needs, and its misuse can lead to devastating consequences."

Leo Terrell says Trump admin willing to take Harvard antisemitism fight all the way to Supreme Court

President Donald Trump isn't about to tolerate antisemitism, and a specialized DOJ task force fronted by Leo Terrell is on the case.

"We have tolerated antisemitism for the last four years," the civil rights attorney told "The Faulkner Focus" on Tuesday.

"Thank goodness President Trump is in office. He's not going to tolerate it. He's going to eliminate it. That's why I'm in this role right now. That's why Pam Bondi is the attorney general, and Harmeet Dhillon is the civil rights head," he continued.

The Trump administration has frozen nearly $3 billion in funding for the Ivy League institution thus far and is now fighting to prevent the school from enrolling more foreign students.

The administration's push to bar enrollment of such students, who comprise approximately 27% of the student body, has been temporarily put on hold after a judge blocked the move, and the case is on hold until Thursday.

HARVARD UPDATES LAWSUIT AFTER TRUMP CANCELS ADDITIONAL $450M IN FUNDING

Terrell said the Trump administration will have to "match" Harvard in court as a legal blitz ensues, telling Fox News, "This is going to be a battle in the courtroom. If it goes all the way to the Supreme Court, Trump is going to do that… that's why the task force is here."

"Four years ago, nothing happened, but we're going to have to fight these lawsuits. We're going to have to take the money away…"

He added that coming to school in the U.S. on a student visa is a "privilege" and refuted claims that have shrouded alleged antisemitic happenings on campus under the guise of "academic freedom."

"This is not academic freedom. This is antisemitism in its purest… form, and it's being tolerated not only in universities, but throughout the country," he said.

TRUMP FROZE FUNDING FOR HARVARD. MONEY TO THESE UNIVERSITIES MAY ALSO BE ON THE CHOPPING BLOCK

The Trump administration has continually insisted Harvard has failed to comply with demands to rid the campus of alleged antisemitism.

Responding to recent rhetoric from the Trump administration, Harvard University President Alan Garber told NPR in a recent broadcast that the school needs to remain "firm" in its commitments to what it stands for.

"And what we stand for – and I believe I speak for other universities – is education, pursuit of the truth, helping to educate people for better futures…"

Garber also pushed back against Trump's floated idea to reallocate Harvard funding to trade schools, telling the outlet, "The money that goes to research universities in the form of grants and contracts, which is almost all the federal support that we get, is used to pay for work that we perform at the behest of the government."

"So, in reallocating to some other use, including trade schools, it means that work just won’t be performed," he said. "So, the right question is, is this the most effective use of federal funding? Do you really want to cut back on research dollars?"

Garber continued, "I'm less concerned about whether it goes to a trade school or if it goes to some other project, like working on highways. The real question is, how much value does the federal government get from its expenditures on research? There is a lot of actual research demonstrating the returns to the American people have been enormous."

Jersey Shore bar cancels Springsteen cover band over The Boss' anti-Trump rants

Bruce Springsteen just got canceled — at the Jersey Shore.

A tribute band dedicated to The Boss’ music pulled the plug on a gig at a bar not far from his Garden State home after a dispute with its owner over the singer-songwriter’s anti-Trump comments, according to a report.

No Surrender, a 20-year-old, nine-piece Springsteen cover band from New Jersey, was slated to play Riv’s Toms River Hub on May 30 — until the "I’m on Fire" singer kicked off his European tour packed with on-stage rants flaming President Trump, NJ Advance Media reported.

BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN RELEASES EP FEATURING ANTI-TRUMP RANTS FROM UK CONCERT

Band leader Brad Hobicorn started receiving "concerned texts" from bar owner Tony Rivoli shortly after Springsteen’s comments went viral, according to the outlet.

By Sunday, Rivoli allegedly put the kibosh on the show that was booked nine months in advance. He texted Hobicorn that the gig would be "too risky at the moment," citing the restaurant’s conservative customer base, the outlet reported.

"Unfortunately it’s just too much money I wanted to do the Springsteen tribute for that money in my social media team would have promoted it we would have done well but now because Bruce can’t keep his mouth shut we’re screwed," Rivoli wrote in a text message to Hobicorn obtained by NJ Advance Media.

Hobicorn offered to have his band play only classic-rock covers instead of Springsteen, but Rivoli balked at paying $2,500 for a classic-rock cover band, the outlet said.

In a message sent to the band’s bassist, Guy Fleming, Rivoli wrote, "Whenever the national anthem plays, my bar stands and is in total silence, that’s our clientele. Toms River is red and won’t stand for his bull—."

After Fleming posted about the situation on Facebook, Rivoli seemed to change his tune a bit — insisting he never canceled the gig and had changed his mind. But the band decided it was too late for the bar owner to backtrack.

"This is not political for us at all," Hobicorn told the outlet Thursday. "We’re just a cover band that’s trying to make some money, and people rely on it financially. We’re the ones really getting hurt."

BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN IGNORES QUESTION ABOUT TRUMP FEUD WHILE SIGNING AUTOGRAPHS: VIDEO

"At that point, there were negative vibes about the whole thing," Hobicorn said. "There was definitely a safety concern," he said.

Rivoli, though, insisted the cover band could have played.

"As of (Wednesday), they could have played as No Surrender," Rivoli told the outlet.

"I think a lot of people of my base would not have came, but I could have been wrong. You know, who knows? You can’t predict what people are going to do."

Toms River bar and restaurant joints have previously sparked backlash for their conservative slant.

Aqua Blu Kitchen & Cocktails in Toms River put a hamburger on its menu dedicated to the right-wing extremist group the Proud Boys in January, leading to a massive online backlash and an apology from the owner.

Springsteen — who was born in Long Branch and raised in Freehold — lambasted Trump’s administration as "corrupt, incompetent and treasonous" while kicking off the European leg of his "Land of Hope and Dreams" tour in Manchester, England, last week.

Last Friday, Trump slammed the musician, calling him "Highly Overrated" and "dumb as a rock" for going "to a Foreign Country to speak badly about the President of the United States."

"Never liked him, never liked his music, or his Radical Left Politics and, importantly, he’s not a talented guy — Just a pushy, obnoxious JERK, who fervently supported Crooked Joe Biden, a mentally incompetent FOOL, and our WORST EVER President, who came close to destroying our Country," he posted to Truth Social.

Instead of playing The Riv’s Toms River Hub, No Surrender will play Headliner Oasis in Neptune Township on May 30, according to the outlet.

Former ESPN host pushes back on Disney's Iger for reportedly urging 'The View' to tone down Trump talk

Former ESPN host Jemele Hill called out Disney boss Bob Iger on Saturday for reportedly urging "The View" to tone down their political rhetoric, which is almost always directed at slamming President Donald Trump and his administration.

"Trump is obviously, again, using his position as president to put pressure on these media companies and I think a lot of them are capitulating and feeling that pressure, because they have things and business deals and things on the side that they want to happen, that they want to do," Hill said during CNN's "Table for Five" discussion on Saturday, before suggesting it should be about ratings. "Do the ratings support that you should stop talking about Donald Trump? Probably not."

Multiple Disney sources told The Daily Beast that both Iger and ABC News President Almin Karamehmedovic recently suggested that the all-female daytime talk show panel be less antagonistic on political issues, though the recommendation was reportedly not taken too seriously. Co-host Anna Navarro reportedly pushed back the most forcefully on the suggestion.

"If you are Bob Iger, who I do have a lot of respect for - he was my former boss. If you're him, that's the only thing that should matter, as long as the audience decides that they have an appetite for that, then that's what the women should talk about, whether you like how they discuss it or not," she added.

BIDEN TELLS 'THE VIEW' HE WASN'T SURPRISED HARRIS LOST, BLAMES SEXISM AND RACISM

A source with "The View" confirmed to Fox News Digital these discussions were had, but suggested not all the hosts are in lockstep with Navarro.

"Most hosts agree with the ABC top brass," the source told Fox News Digital. "'The View' is a daytime network talk show and needs to do more than just politics and Trump bashing. This was a welcome direction for many of us."

When asked whether "The View" will ultimately pivot towards less political coverage as the second Trump presidency continues, the source responded, "It's hard to say," but added, "Ignoring Bob Iger seems like a terrible decision."

Another source familiar with the situation said such conversations with talent are normal based on viewer feedback, and that this conversation in particular is about finding a "balance" in topics and reevaluating politics in general, not just stories pertaining to Trump.

On the panel, CNN political commentator S.E. Cupp spoke out against Trump's attack against media companies and acknowledged while she had issues with "The View," she was proud of the co-hosts for standing their ground.

Other CNN panelists, such as Montel Williams, who previously hosted "The Montel Williams Show," said he largely benefited from avoiding politics on his podcasts.

"When he's out of office, what are they going to talk about then?" Williams asked. "I do two podcasts, I try to stay off politics completely, and guess what? My ratings are up, my numbers are up."

"I do think, like, people suffering from MS, people suffering from PTSD, I do things like that because I think that our nation needs to be engaged in other conversations than just what he's [Donald Trump] doing every day. Because talking about him every day, I'm glad the ladies pushed back, but I would like them to take a trip outside of 'The View,'" he added.

Hill also worried about the message the reported pressure from Iger would send to younger journalists.

"To see, and I know that they're not straight journalists necessarily on 'The View,' but it's still representing a journalism body, so if the business that you work for, and again you all know I went through this at ESPN, if they're not willing to defend you in this moment, that's really leaving you vulnerable, and it's really leaving our entire industry vulnerable," she said.

Disney did not immediately return a request for comment.

WaPo deletes post about confusion on 'where Jews belong' after Israeli embassy staff killings

The Washington Post deleted a controversial X post on Saturday on a story following the killings of two Israeli embassy staffers.

On Friday, the Post’s official X account published a story on the state of Jewish people after Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Lynn Milgrim were shot and killed outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday night.

"The killings of two Israeli Embassy staffers amplify the confusion felt since the Oct. 7, 2023, attacks about where Jews belong," the account described.

After intense backlash, the Washington Post removed and replaced the post, adding a correction.

BESTSELLING AUTHOR CALLS MURDERED ISRAELI EMBASSY EMPLOYEES 'GENOCIDE CHEERLEADERS' IN SOCIAL MEDIA POST

"We deleted a previous version of this tweet that lacked the proper context," a new post read.

The post now reads, "For U.S. Jews, D.C. museum killings deepen resolve — and fear."

However, the story link still contains the original description as a standfirst.

Fox News Digital reached out to The Washington Post for additional comment.

The controversial line was in reference to a quote from Rabbi Ruth Balinsky Friedman who spoke to the Washington Post about her feelings after the killings.

"’Where do we as a people belong?’ she said. 'Where do I belong?’ And if Jews belong in America, ‘why are people shooting us in broad daylight?’" the article read.

MSNBC host questions credibility of Biden cabinet secs who spoke out on president's decline after election

MSNBC host Eugene Daniels asked on Saturday why anyone should trust the former Biden administration cabinet secretaries who spoke to author Alex Thompson about Joe Biden's decline, noting that they didn't speak out while they were in office.

"But why should people trust them now, right?" Daniels asked. "Because I don’t know who these cabinet secretaries were, but maybe they probably want to work in a different administration. They want to be on K Street. They want to be at some think tank. Why should anyone trust them when they spend all this time — apparently no one got this information — and not telling anybody. Now they have a lot to say."

MNSBC's "The Weekend" spoke with Axios reporter Alex Thompson about his new book, "Original Sin: President Biden’s Decline, Its Cover-up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again," which he co-wrote with CNN host Jake Tapper. MSNBC co-host Elise Jordan said the quotes from cabinet secretaries about the former president were the most powerful, reading one that said, "Over 2023 and 2024, the circle of people with access to the president grew smaller and smaller. Even the majority of Biden's cabinet members weren't in it."

Thompson acknowledged it was a fair question and said the secretaries felt that if they spoke out, "it was only going to help Trump."

BIDEN'S PRESIDENCY WILL BE REMEMBERED AS THE ‘MAN THAT WAS TOO OLD,’ SAYS BYRON YORK

Jordan, after noting that Thompson included four cabinet secretaries who had concerns about the president, asked Thompson about what it was like getting these cabinet secretaries to speak out.

Thompson noted that the interviews didn't occur until after the election, but that he had been trying for several years to get them to talk.

"I think a lot of them were scared because they felt that if they spoke out, it wasn’t going to get Joe Biden out of the race, and also it was only going to help Donald Trump," Thompson said.

The Axios reporter also described a cabinet secretary he spoke to who was shocked by Biden during a 2024 cabinet meeting and described the former president as incoherent.

Daniels also asked Thompson to respond to Naomi Biden's, Joe Biden's granddaughter, rebuke of the book

Biden's granddaughter deemed the book "political fairy smut for the permanent, professional chattering class" in a post on social media.

"I think if you read the book, you will see that the Biden family is a completely cohesive and solid, very loyal clan. And I was not surprised to see that. I would say that I stand, and Jake and I both stand completely behind the reporting. Also, I’d say I think Naomi is a pretty good writer," Thompson said.

Daniels also acknowledged that he had reached out to several former Biden officials to come on their show to defend the president, and they hadn't accepted, before noting Daniel Koh, a former deputy assistant to Biden, would be joining them to respond to Thompson's remarks.

When Daniels asked about what he observed in the White House with the former president, Koh immediately pivoted to Donald Trump's presidency.

Jordan asked if he detected any of the behavior described in Tapper and Thompson's book and Koh said, "he's 82 years old."

"I was never concerned about his ability to make the right decision or his team around him making the right decision for the country. And I think that was reflected in the legislation that you were able to see him pass," he added.

4 arrested for allegedly aiding escaped inmates in New Orleans

Police made four more arrests in connection with a prison break in New Orleans this weekend, Fox News has learned.

The four arrests make a total of 11 people who have been accused of helping the inmates either before, during or after their escape from the New Orleans Jail last week.

The arrests include 18-year-old Patricia Vanburen, 27-year-old Tyshanea "Minnie" Randolph, 47-year-old Lenton Vanburen Sr., and 40-year-old Angel McKey. A source confirmed to Fox News that Vanburen Sr. is the father of one of the escaped inmates, Lenton Vanburen.

Authorities executed a search warrant at a residence in New Orleans’ 7th District in hopes to find the fugitive Vanburen, but he was not there.

The four individuals arrested this weekend were accused of specifically assisting the younger Vanburen in evading the police.

The arrests come days after police apprehended another suspect accused of helping inmates on Friday. Police say Emmitt Weber, 28, helped two of the inmates after the jailbreak at the Orleans Parish Correctional Facility.

As of Sunday, five of the 10 escaped inmates remain at large.

The most recent arrest was made when Corey Boyd was taken into custody Tuesday.

The other inmates recaptured are Kendell Myles, Robert Moody, Dkenan Dennis and Gary Price.

Two others — Casey Smith and Cortnie Harris — have been arrested for allegedly aiding the escapees. Another woman, Connie Weeden, 59, allegedly gave cash to Donald via a cellphone app.

She is charged with one felony count of accessory after the fact.

Trump celebrates West Point athletes in commencement address to military academy

President Donald Trump delivered the commencement address at West Point Saturday and gave a shoutout to the "first-rate athletes" at the school.

"I love the sports stuff. What you've done is pretty amazing," Trump said before highlighting the men's lacrosse team.

"Last year, for the first time ever, Army lacrosse became the No. 1-ranked men's lacrosse team in the entire country. That's a tough sport, too."

Trump then pivoted to the football team, which was nationally ranked earlier this year.

"Your sophomore year, Army football beat Navy, 20-17, and the next year, you did it again, beating Navy, 17-11, and dominating Air Force, 23-3," Trump continued. "But this year, the Black Knights fought your way into the top 20 nationally and racked up your longest winning streak since 1949 with the help of graduating quarterback Cadet Bryson Daily, or as you call him, Captain America. I came to a game. I said, 'He could get into the NFL.' But he chose this life. And I think he made a good choice."

Trump then implored Daily to approach the stage and say a few words.

"Go Army football. … Can't wait to graduate. Love you guys," he said.

BRETT FAVRE SUGGESTS NETFLIX DOCUMENTARY TARGETS HIM FOR TRUMP SUPPORT

"I just tapped his shoulder. It's like I hit a piece of steel. The guy's in good shape," Trump said as Daily left the stage. "There's always a reason for success. In a time when other top college quarterbacks were thinking about going pro, Bryson's mind was on something else. He told an interviewer earlier this year, ‘I’m focused on my career as an infantry officer.' That's what he wants to do. So Bryson, you did the right thing. That's service at its finest. Thanks, Bryson. That's amazing. He's an amazing guy with an amazing team."

Trump delivered a speech to Alabama graduates earlier this month, spotlighting their teams and former head football coach Nick Saban.

Trump told the 1,002 graduating cadets that the academy is the "most elite and storied military academy in human history."

Trump railed against previous foreign policy initiatives. And he declared an end to critical race theory, DEI initiatives and men in women’s sports while vowing to promote a return to merit-based systems and traditional military values.

Podcast host says Jordon Hudson 'choreographed' portion of Bill Belichick's recent interview

One of Bill Belichick's stops among his book tour was on an episode of "The Pivot" podcast with Ryan Clark and Channing Crowder.

Belichick's first interview promoting the book garnered tons of media attention, when Jordon Hudson was caught on camera butting into the conversation when Belichick was asked how they met.

Belichick has credited Hudson, 24, for being the business brainiac to his brand, but he has remained mum on getting any further than that in public interviews.

But that business side of Hudson was all in on Belichick's "Pivot" interview, according to Crowder.

"He’s all in if you talk football, but if you start talking personal stuff, he starts doing the mumble and the one-word answers, and his old lady is different. She lurks," Crowder said on his separate radio show. "It’s weird to know him as Coach Belichick running the entire organization as GM, head coach, talent coordinator, all that stuff, and then to see this tiny little 95-pound girl pretty much telling him what to do."

Crowder added, but did not elaborate on, that Hudson "choreographed the open," which included Belichick's accomplishments as both a coach and author.

"She was there. She kind of coordinates and brand manages. She has her paws on the situation. It’s different . . . it was weird to be around Belichick and Jordon. I don’t see Belichick in that light. But he just smiles and nods," Crowder continued.

AIRBNB OWNERS SHARE SHOCK OF FINDING SHIRTLESS BILL BELICHICK ON THEIR DOORBELL CAMERA: 'CREEPY OLD GUY'

Hudson was not at Belichick's interview with "Good Morning America" last week.

According to reports, Hudson interrupted the CBS interview several times and even stormed off at one point, delaying the interview by around 30 minutes.

Belichick released a statement saying he was "surprised" about getting the questions about his relationship and that when Hudson had stepped in, she had been doing her job. He went on to accuse CBS of creating a "false narrative" with so-called "selectively edited clips."

CBS responded, disagreeing with Belichick’s version of events.

In the interview with The Pivot, Belichick cleared the air on Hudson's reported involvement with "Hard Knocks," ultimately saying that the show was not a match with UNC. He also reiterated that Hudson is not involved with UNC football, a statement that the school itself made following reports that Hudson was barred from the facility.

Trump signs executive orders bolstering nuclear industry, domestic uranium mining

President Donald Trump signed several executive orders (EOs) on nuclear energy proliferation and an order removing political considerations from public-sector science, as conservatives claimed the latter was scandalized in its response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Trump also signed restoring "gold standard science" as the cornerstone of federal research.

A senior White House official said on Friday there has been a decline in "disruptive research" and investments in biomedical research, along with "serious cases" of fraud and misconduct and the inability to reproduce scientific methods for the purpose of restoring public trust.

The official also blamed policy responses to the COVID-19 pandemic and "woke DEI initiatives" for endangering the public’s trust in government scientists.

CHINESE SOLAR TECH POSES CHILLING THREAT TO US ELECTRIC GRID, LAWMAKERS WARN

Now-retired NIAID Director Dr. Anthony Fauci was repeatedly denounced for flip-flopping and obfuscating during his time engineering the federal response to COVID-19, leading many particularly on the right to disregard and dismiss the legitimacy of federal health authorities outright.

That order cites the fact the Biden administration included political edits from teachers unions in school-reopening guidance, instead of leading with any scientific evidence.

The order will enforce "gold standard science," defined as reproducible, transparent and falsifiable – as well as being subject to peer review and making sure that scientists are not discouraged from discovering outcomes that run counter to a narrative.

In terms of nuclear energy, one order will reform nuclear R&D at the Energy Department, accelerate reactor testing at national labs and establish a pilot program for new construction.

TRUMP ADMIN HITS BULLSEYE WITH FIRST US MINE FOR KEY MINERAL

Energy Secretary Chris Wright previously told Fox News Digital that revitalizing and highlighting the work of U.S. national labs is paramount to his agenda.

In a move that appears to support Wright’s push for nuclear power, Trump will sign an order aimed at advancing new reactor construction on public lands.

CHRIS WRIGHT CONFIRMED SECRETARY OF ENERGY

A senior White House official cited the importance of that type of reliable power-source for critical defense facilities and AI data centers.

Another order being signed Friday will overhaul the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to require it to rule on reactor license applications within 18 months.

Only two new nuclear reactors have begun construction and entered into commercial operation since the Carter administration.

A typically risk-averse culture that requires, for example, nuclear facilities to emit as little radiation as possible, including below naturally-occurring levels, which critics said has hindered the NRC from licensing new reactors as technology begets safer and cheaper means of production.

The orders will also seek to raise nuclear energy capacity from 100 gigawatts (GW) to 400 GW within 25 years.

Another order will establish a vision to mine and enrich uranium within the U.S., decreasing another avenue of foreign reliance – and "reinvigorate" the nuclear fuel cycle.

"That means America will start mining and enriching uranium and expanding domestic uranium conversion and enrichment capacity," a senior White House official said.

Trump is expected to leverage the Defense Production Act – which last helped secure COVID-19 paraphernalia like masks and ventilators – to seek agreements with domestic nuclear energy companies for the procurement of enriched uranium, as well as finding ways to manage spent nuke fuel.

Nuclear energy, the White House said in the order, "is necessary to power the next generation technologies that secure our global industrial, digital, and economic dominance, achieve energy independence, and protect our national security."

Splitting a restaurant bill with friends? Expert shares 'most desirable' approach

Dining out can be an expensive undertaking. Dining out with friends can be even more costly.

When dining with others at a restaurant, what's the best approach to settling the tab when the check arrives?

An etiquette expert revealed the best way to avoid those awkward moments or potential conflicts that could damage a friendship.

NEARLY 90% OF AMERICANS BELIEVE TIPPING IS GETTING OUT OF HAND TODAY, SURVEY SAYS

"It's not uncommon for friends at a restaurant to suggest at the end of the meal, 'Let's just split the bill equally,'" Diane Gottsman, founder and owner of the Protocol School of Texas in San Antonio, told Fox News Digital.

"At this point, there are several people at the table agreeing outwardly but secretly irritated that they are overpaying for other people's food and drink. It feels uncomfortable because no one wants to be the person that speaks up."

To avoid this situation, said Gottsman, it's important to communicate in advance.

MAN STUNNED WHEN RESTAURANT STRANGER PAYS $85 BREAKFAST BILL

Someone with financial constraints might be inclined to pay separately.

"The most desirable and sophisticated way to handle this situation is to look directly at the server when he approaches you and say, 'I'm going to take these two' or 'Please give me a separate check,'" said Gottsman.

"Let the server know directly who you are going to be responsible for when the bill comes. It's always better to separate it at the beginning rather than at the end."

If you do decide to split the bill evenly, it's best to know what the others at your table are eating or drinking.

Alcohol can quickly add up when it comes to the final bill, which might leave some feeling uneasy, especially if someone else at your table isn't drinking.

"If someone decides to order an extremely expensive bottle of wine, for example, you can speak up and say, 'Hey guys, please enjoy, but I don't want to pay for that wine because I'm not drinking. Letting you know now.'"

Splitting a bill down the middle can sometimes be the easiest, least-complicated way to handle things, but people with children should consider paying separately, said Gottsman.

HOW TO ORDER A DELICIOUS AND ROBUST GLASS, BOTTLE OF WINE WITH CONVICTION, ACCORDING TO A MASTER SOMMELIER

"You should also not expect for everyone to assume that splitting the bill is going to be appreciated," she said.

"If you speak out once, there are going to be several others [who] are going to take a huge sigh of relief because you verbalized what they were thinking."

Another piece of advice, Gottsman told Fox News Digital, is to avoid such scenarios with someone who you know "historically gouges you on the bill."

"You can say, I'm going to pass on the invitation, but let's get together next week for lunch," said Gottsman. "In other words, accept an invitation where you can navigate how the bill is paid."

In the end, said Gottsman, setting expectations is one of the best ways "to get around this uncomfortable yet common scenario."

Mace sounds off on stock trading in Congress, Pelosi remains silent: ‘Something doesn’t add up’

Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C., says she supports banning stock trading for sitting members of Congress "100%," saying, "we shouldn’t be voting on things we can benefit from financially."

Though supportive of efforts to curb the practice of trading by members of Congress, Mace, a staunch conservative, told Fox News Digital that she is not surprised the effort has been unsuccessful so far.

"It's Washington. Washington is doing what it always does," she said, adding, "The establishment rules and … when you see the kind of returns members of Congress on both sides of the aisle are getting that the average American isn't, something doesn't add up."

According to Quiver Quantitative, Mace has no reported stock trading activity and has a net worth of $3.4 million.

"I support it 100%. I don't trade stocks," said Mace. "I think I have learned since I've been up here that we can be market makers, and when we do bills, or we vote on things, or we do legislation, we shouldn't be voting on things that we could benefit from financially."

Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., meanwhile, declined to comment on her stance.

According to Quiver Quantitative, the former speaker of the House, who has a net worth of a little over $261 million and, as of April 28, was reported as holding $119.9 million in stocks, has been heavily criticized for engaging in lucrative trading.

When asked by Fox News Digital whether she would support banning lawmakers from trading stocks, Pelosi ignored the question and continued walking.

HAWLEY REIGNITES 'PELOSI ACT' PUSH TO BAN LAWMAKERS FROM TRADING STOCKS

This comes after Rep. Mark Alford, R-Mo., introduced legislation earlier this month that would ban congressional stock trading, serving as the House companion bill to Sen. Josh Hawley's, R-Mo., "PELOSI Act" in the Senate.

Alford's proposed bill would ban lawmakers and their spouses from holding, purchasing or selling individual stocks while in office, but it allows investments in diversified mutual funds, exchange-traded funds or U.S. Treasury bonds. If passed, current lawmakers would have 180 days to comply with the legislation. Likewise, newly elected lawmakers must achieve compliance within 180 days of entering office.

Under the proposed legislation, lawmakers who continue to make wrongful transactions would be required to hand over any profits they made to the U.S. Treasury Department. The House or Senate ethics committees could also impose a fine on such lawmakers amounting to 10% of each wrongful transaction.

House Speaker Mike Johnson has also endorsed a stock trading ban, saying "a few bad actors" have ruined Americans' trust in lawmakers on the issue. President Donald Trump himself endorsed the same ban for members of Congress in an interview with Time magazine last month.

"I watched Nancy Pelosi get rich through insider information, and I would be okay with it. If they send that to me, I would do it," he said of a trading ban.

CALLS TO BAN CONGRESSIONAL TRADING PERSIST AMID RECENT STOCK MARKET VOLATILITY

Democrats in the House of Representatives have also expressed support for a ban, with House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., throwing his weight behind the proposal last week.

Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., meanwhile, told Fox News Digital that he has an alternate solution that would allow legislators to trade stocks but would mandate that members of Congress wishing to do so to "put their money in escrow and announce the stock trade 24 hours before they make it."

"Then they have to legally go through with the trade. So instead of not using the insider information, let's give it to everybody and let them front run the elected officials here," he said, smiling.

Trump rips NBC reporter for asking about Qatari jet gift amid tense meeting on genocide: 'You're a disgrace'

President Donald Trump ripped an NBC reporter for questions about the Department of Defense accepting a jumbo jet from Qatar to serve as Air Force One.

"The Pentagon announced that it would be accepting a Qatari jet to be used as Air Force One," an NBC reporter asked Trump in a news conference during the South African president's visit Wednesday to the White House.

"What are you talking about? You know, you ought to get out of here," Trump responded

The question regarding the Qatari jet was asked immediately after Trump directed his staff to lower the lights and show video footage of the treatment of White farmers in South Africa during his meeting with the African nation's president.

ESPIONAGE, CONSTITUTIONAL CONCERNS ABOUND FROM TRUMP DETRACTORS, ALLIES OVER QATARI JET OFFER

The Trump administration began welcoming white Afrikaners from South Africa to the U.S. in the past week as they face "unjust racial discrimination" in their home country, according to the administration.

"What does this have to do with the Qatari jet?" Trump shot back at the reporter, believed to be NBC News' Peter Alexander, before slamming NBC News for trying to divert the meeting's topic from genocide in South Africa

"They're giving the United States Air Force a jet. OK? And it's a great thing. We're talking about a lot of other things. It's NBC trying to get off the subject of what you just saw," Trump said. "You are a real … you know, you're a terrible reporter. No. 1, you don't have what it takes to be a reporter. You're not smart enough. But for you to go into a subject about a jet that was given to the United States Air Force, which is a very nice thing.

"They also gave $5.1 trillion worth of investment in addition to the jet. Go back, you ought to go back to your studio at NBC because Brian Roberts and the people that run that place, they ought to be investigated. They are so terrible the way you run that network. And you are a disgrace. No more questions from you," Trump continued.

"His name is Peter something. He's a terrible reporter," Trump added as he began calling on other reporters for questions.

FLASHBACK: DEM CRITICAL OF TRUMP'S QATARI JET GIFT RODE CAMEL IN EXPENSES-PAID 2021 TRIP TO GULF EMIRATE

Fox News Digital reached out to NBC News for comment on the matter but did not immediately receive a reply.

Fox News confirmed earlier Wednesday that the Department of Defense had formally accepted a 747 jetliner from Qatar.

Both Democrats and Republicans have criticized Trump after he announced the Department of Defense planned to accept a jumbo jet from the government of Qatar earlier in May, arguing the gift is riddled with both espionage concerns and constitutional questions.

HOUSE DEMOCRAT CALLS FOR 'IMMEDIATE' ETHICS PROBE OF QATARI PLANE GIFT TO TRUMP

At the heart of Democrats' concern over the matter is the emoluments clause in the Constitution, which states, "No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State."

It's questionable if the emoluments clause even applies to the president, however, because the Constitution typically stipulates when a clause specifically affects a president and cites the title, such as in the impeachment clause, Hans von Spakovsky, senior legal fellow at the Heritage Foundation's Edwin Meese III Center for Legal and Judicial Studies, previously told Fox News Digital.

TRUMP CLARIFIES OWNERSHIP OF AIRCRAFT IN DEFENSE OF QATAR'S GIFT

"The clause was specifically inserted because of concerns by the founders at the Constitutional Convention over corruption of our foreign diplomats, especially by the French government," von Spakovsky explained.

"It is questionable whether the emoluments clause even applies to the president since he is not named, and the Constitution usually names the president when a provision applies to him. That is why the impeachment clause specifically provides that it applies to the ‘president, vice president and all civil officers of the United States.’ If ‘officers’ of the U.S. included the president, there would be no need for him to be separately listed."

Von Spakovsky said if the plane is a government-to-government gift — meaning if Qatar gave the plane to the Department of Defense and not as a personal gift to the president — the Trump administration is likely in the legal clear to accept the gift.

"If this gift is being considered as a gift to the government of the U.S., there is no legal issue to consider, since there is no constitutional or legal problem with such a gift. If this is a personal gift to the president, the Justice Department would be weighing the constitutional issue I have raised — whether the emoluments clause even applies to the president," he said.

TRUMP DEFENDS QATAR JUMBO JET OFFER AS TROUBLED BOEING FAILS TO DELIVER NEW AIR FORCE ONE FLEET

Trump and his administration have previously and repeatedly said the jet would be given to the Department of Defense and used as a temporary Air Force One because Boeing has not yet delivered a new fleet of Air Force One aircraft.

"We're very disappointed that it's taking Boeing so long to build a new Air Force One," Trump said during a press conference on drug prices Monday morning. "You know, we have an Air Force One that's 40 years old. And if you take a look at that, compared to the new plane of the equivalent, you know, stature at the time, it's not even the same ballgame.

"When I first came in, I signed an order to get (the new Air Force One fleet) built," he added. "I took it over from the Obama administration, they had originally agreed. I got the price down much lower. And then, when the election didn't exactly work out the way that it should have, a lot of work was not done on the plane because a lot of people didn't know they made change orders. That was so stupid, so ridiculous. And it ended up being a total mess, a real mess."

Trump supporters find unlikely common ground with blue state congressman at town hall: 'I love it'

ALLENTOWN, PA – President Donald Trump supporters and Americans for Prosperity (AFP) protesters lined the streets outside Democrat Rep. Ro Khanna's town hall in the battleground state of Pennsylvania on Saturday night.

However, three pro-Trump protesters who wandered inside the half-empty town hall found unlikely common ground with the Silicon Valley Democrat, who is considered a potential 2028 presidential candidate.

Before taking the stage for his remarks, Khanna listened to the Trump supporters' concerns and told them about the legislation he proposed last week to codify Trump's executive order aimed at lowering prescription drug prices.

Khanna has secured three co-sponsors for his bill, including GOP Reps. Paulina Luna and Andy Biggs.

While some Democrat attendees looked on disapprovingly at the polite political debate breaking out at the back of the town hall, Khanna encouraged the Trump supporters to pull up a seat and stick around for his remarks. The Trump supporters did just that.

BLUE STATE CONGRESSMAN DITCHES DEM PLAYBOOK, SEEKS TO CODIFY TRUMP'S LATEST EXECUTIVE ORDER

"I love it," Khanna told Fox News Digital ahead of his speech. "I love the First Amendment. They're peaceful. I walked by them. They were very civil. That's democracy, and they're welcome to come in."

GOP REPS, ADVOCACY GROUP TO TARGET COMPETITIVE HOUSE DISTRICTS IN TRUMP TAX-CUT PUSH

When Khanna took the stage, he thanked the Trump supporters for their conversation and spotlighted how Americans can find common ground on lowering prescription drug prices amid persistent political violence in the United States.

Khanna said he was appreciative of the conversation in light of a terrorist attack on a fertility clinic in California earlier that day, the arson attack on Gov. Josh Shapiro's home last month and the assassination attempt on Trump in Pennsylvania last year.

Khanna's Allentown event was the first of two "Benefits Over Billionaires" town halls hosted in Republican-held congressional districts in swing state Pennsylvania this weekend. While Khanna was a long way from his home district, he was born in Philadelphia and grew up in Bucks County

Republican Reps. Ryan Mackenzie and Brian Fitzpatrick, both likely to face competitive challenges to hold their House seats in 2026, represent the Lehigh Valley and Bucks County districts Khanna visited this weekend.

"He should be back home in his own district doing a town hall with his constituents, but I think he's campaigning for president most likely, so he's trying to get his name ID out there all across the country," Mackenzie told Fox News Digital before knocking on doors with AFP on Saturday.

Mackenzie accused Khanna of "going around, mugging for the cameras, trying to get clicks on social media and trying to boost [his] own profile," as he defended his own accessibility to his Pennsylvania constituents.

However, Khanna deflected Mackenzie's accusation about posturing for a political future when pressed by Fox News Digital.

"This is about saving the jobs at the Mack plant. This is about making sure we don't cut Medicaid. This is about making sure people aren't getting hurt in this community and around the country," Khanna said.

Democrats have railed against proposed Medicaid reform as a key component of Trump's "big, beautiful bill," but Mackenzie said his constituents are more concerned about eliminating waste, fraud and abuse from the program.

The California congressman, who spoke with members of the United Auto Workers union ahead of his town hall, called on Mackenzie and Trump to save at least 250 Pennsylvanians' jobs at Mack Trucks in the Lehigh Valley.

"The president's trying to bring back manufacturing. How about we just stop manufacturing from leaving? We need action here, and I wanted to highlight that," Khanna said, explaining his trip to Mackenzie's district.

While Khanna took aim at Mackenzie for the Mack Truck layoffs, an AFP digital ad truck outside the event spotlighted Mackenzie's support for extending Trump's 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act as activists doubled down on support for their elected Republican leaders.
